M&E Design & Consultancy
EnG specialise in building services consultancy work, including all aspects of Mechanical and Electrical design plus Public Health and Specialist systems integration.
Working with clients and architects we strive to integrate the building’s services seamlessly so that they work as one with the building and enhance the overall design, rather than providing "bolt on" solutions.
Our Mechanical system designs can include; Heating, Ventilation and Air Conditioning (HVAC), Climate Control, Domestic Water Services, Wastewater Services, Building Management Systems and Home Automation/Smart Home Systems.
Electrical services include; Primary Distribution, Small Power, Data and Networking, General Lighting, Emergency Lighting & controls, Fire Alarms, Security Systems (access control, Intruder Alarms and CCTV) and Audio Visual (AV) Systems.
Environmental & Sustainability
We work with clients and architects from the initial stages of a building's inception and throughout to reduce energy losses and minimise system energy usage.
We can also undertake energy and sustainability assessments for planning, Low-to-Zero Carbon (LZC) feasibility studies and prepare environmental calculations and models for analysis.
Our M&E solutions incorporate the latest Low and Zero Carbon technologies where appropriate in order to provide sustainable buildings which offer end users lower running costs while reducing their carbon footprint.
Project Management
Generally offered as part of a complete building services design and delivery appointment, we monitor an installation throughout the construction process. Working either with the contractor or operating as the client's technical advisors, we will oversee the M&E services construction process from initial site strip out through to commissioning and completion. Ensuring best practice, efficiency in systems and compliance with regulations.
Building Information Modelling (BIM)
As the building industry moves towards a more integrated design approach, we use a combination of 2D and 3D design delivery methods. Within the practice we are able to offer BIM level 2 design delivery in addition to Revit 3D and AutoCAD drawings.
Surveys, Inspections & Reports
As a practice we can undertake building services surveys for upgrade assessments, acquisitions, dilapidations, technical appraisals and condition reports for a variety of properties across the country.
Energy Benchmarking
We can provide accredited Energy Performance Certificates (EPC’s), SAP, SBEM calculations, overheating calculations and BREEAM assessments.
We have worked on a number of Passivhaus design projects and endorse the drive to net Zero Energy usage within the building industry. EnG Consultants are also accredited CIBSE low carbon consultants.
